by yours truly, virtual trekking with the university crew @eme6414
You probably don’t remember me, and if you do, try to backspace those thoughts out of your mind and embark on this journey with me as I attempt to *cringe* “rebrand” my online presence.
How unusual for an OG hack like me that this ^ could be a simple Twitter post, but here I am throwing it up as an entire ‘first blog entry.’ We’ll see if I can get away with it in terms of a Doctor (Ph.D Dennen) grading my entries, as far as social media concerns go.
Why Medium? Well, first, it was Angelfire, GreatestJournal, Livejournal, MySpace, Facebook, Wix, WordPress, Tumblr, and Substack… the list probably has more to it. Still, for brevity and reinvention, we’ll pretend the past disappeared as some of those platforms did, with all of its content before informing its users to back up their innermost thoughts, experiences, and interactions of young adolescents (both on the interweb and of personal development).
This is so uncomfortable, ‘how to start a blog?’ I had an affinity with Blogspot (Blogger) for a long time, we had a good run, especially with all of it’s customizations and widgets… however, I feel the need to transform and explore the newest trends in blogging… Although, I don’t really know what they are since personal content has become exhaustive, and I rather dedicate readings to books and academic literature lately, these past few years, rather than un-edited, flimsy, constant blog posts/ramblings… or I prefer to listen to a podcast while walking the dogs/work out at the gym, I also enjoy participating in virtual webcast events… Strangely, I didn’t really get much into YouTube publishing as I thought I would, especially because video, photography, and performance all were major tools for me.
There is a thin line between being a pioneer and surfing trends. I always considered myself a @priornear.
