I have a system of posting, M, TH, SUN.

and yesterday, I skipped... I feel as though I've disappointed myself... and quite possibly you, readers/classmates... who I'm pretty sure have no opinion on the matter... do you?

But I'm suffering from 'long/post covid' symptoms... I have constant fatigue... it's the last semester of my Master's program, 12 instead of 16 weeks, two classes, a portfolio, preparation for graduation, and job hunting. This might not seem like much, in comparison to my contemporaries who have children, FT jobs, and a mortgage... but for me, this is a lot. I know, compare and despair... I'm not beating myself up over it, I'm just... contemplating. #insecurity 

I know myself, and yes, I have a medium-lower tolerance for certain things than other people... that's halfway alright with me. I tend to go full force into whatever I am doing, for example, eme6414, web 2.0... I am very actively participatory in my online communities, a photo I posted last week has 117 reactions, 45 comments, and two shares and it's spurred a meet-up to barter with another member. I've commented on countless posts and have had an incredible amount of engaging conversations about the topic of sustainable living, in which I am immensely interested.

I return to my last weeks, WonderingWednesday, how can I live like this sustainably... be able to participate in OER but still provide for myself, shelter, finances, expenses, insurance, etc?

I am sad to report I got ONE vote on a posted poll, to see if my Twitter followers enjoyed Tweet-Read-Alongs, apparently, they've had "enough already." This is sad for me, because posting read-along help me with active reading. I'm having flashbacks of when I used social media unsocially... it's the platforms that really speak to me, the softwares. Honestly, I am considering making a separate Twitter to store my read-along for self-referencing, in the future. Priornear might be onto something here, a platform dedicated to bookmarking and side-notes or references to content that is surfed upon? It sounds like Twitter, but maybe there's a separate option for sharing socially vs. keeping private? #youhearditherefirst

As per my podcast post, episode 2... Today is the synthesis day of last week and this week to plan ahead. Or something like that... but you don't need to know the details, only the delivery, unless by you, I mean my internal dialogue manifested into a reflection blog vs. the you that is a reader/follower of my blog and in which case I would like to share OER (Open Educational Resources) to you that might eventually be re-used and repurposed to make the world 'a happier, healthier, and wiser place.' Yeah, I guess I'm really feeling this whole 'crowdsourcing'/'crowdsurfing' business. Honestly, this is like the nth time something regarding surfing has popped up in a matter of hours even. I thought my buzzwords for this semester were going to be: #circularsystems and #sustainability... but it's looking more like #crowdsurfing than anything. Maybe this 'rona girl needs to go to a live musical show ASAP, one where there is hype crowd, enough to be carried by punk-raised arms.

Perhaps it's fitting to the heavy rainfall in Miami these days... I wonder what the crowd would say about saving Miami from going under... too bad I don't have the influence to ask these questions and surf through the feedback and then write the good ideas into a change management plan and deliver them to the people who spent a ton of money on the Marlins stadium... but if I did have any lean to doing something like that... I'd probably throw a concert at the Marlins stadium instead and attempt to surf the arms of the people raising the roof...

Digitives & Produsage

Day 1 of week 2: Digital Natives and Produsage

As Doc teaches us early in the week: portmanteau is a term that blends words to make new ones... It is news to me that I've practiced the art of creating portmanteau's, and am excited that my handle, @priorneear is based on a real literary strategy! The 'screenname' (IM-gen language) origin is based on the blending of 3 words prior+near+pioneer. Many moons ago in 2007/2008, in our high school American History class, a classmate and I idealized the concept of an iPhone:

(Strangely enough, I do remember it... but in a different class and in a different way... 

this uncomfortably makes me think of the Mandela effect. )

This is just one example of many ideas ideated before they have manifested. In terms of change management, I often maintain the qualities of an 'innovator' or, in my own words, a priorneear... because I have oftentimes come close to conceptualizing an idea that later becomes a reality, sometimes it's a slightly off and also, I haven't entirely acted on every one of those ideas. My father and grandfather have been very much the same. My father invested in DVD players, computers, and the internet in the early years compared to his peers. While my grandfather had his own projects. 

Maybe Monday posts will be about ideating the rest of the week... Finding a system of posting will really benefit me, this blog, and my readership. It will provide a structure for content creation. Systems, even in the blogosphere are fascinating... and so are networks!
