Personal Learning Network

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine, a few major things happened to me... I began interacting remotely and virtually with mental health communities... trading perspectives, experiences, and suggestions on various Reddit forms.

Soon after, I got into the FSU ISLT program, and I believe that my personal learning network began to merge into a Personal, Professional Learning Network... I am interested in applying mental health practices in a systemic and instructional way to various organizations through change management... i know, that's a mouthful... it's a lot of industry terms...

And to think, I just wrote 3 pages about it... I hope they were sensible because it was one of the last assignments before completing my degree program... and it should provide me with reflections and insights to continue on a trajectory of personalized, informal learning even after I've been aluminized from the institution.

Can people's PLNs be observed from their online presence? Perhaps partly, but there is some anonymity, especially on certain forums like Reddit and Discord. Personal development should be constant progress. Upcoming soon is a review on how I might qualify as a source for others to consider their own personal development education!

  2. I hope mine made sense as well (end of semester brain :)). I love that you are looking to work to incorporate mindfulness/wellbeing into corporate settings with what youʻve learned. Me and my mental health journey approve. Your statement about PLNs being visible to other online made me compare them to that saying "if a tree falls in a forest, does anyone hear it"? Good point! I had not thought about that facet.
